LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 2.01 – Public Hearing On and Possible Approval of the New 2025-2027 Negotiated Agreement between the Clark County School District and the Clark County Education Association
The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved a Negotiated Agreement with the Clark County Education Association (CCEA).
“From the beginning of the process, the Board made it a priority to have an agreement in place with teachers early in the school year, and we are proud that the District has been able to reach that goal,” CCSD Board of School Trustees President Irene Bustamante Adams said. “We want our teachers to know that we value them as professionals and be able to focus on what’s most important, working with our students.”
The 2025-2027 Negotiated Agreement provides an estimated $214 million in compensation and benefits for licensed educators in the District, a 10 percent overall increase in the value of the contract.
“This is a monumental achievement for our licensed educators to be able to start the school year with a new contract that will allow them to focus now on what matters the most – our students,” said CCSD Superintendent Jhone Ebert. “We are proud to see our teacher retention numbers over 94 percent, and are confident that with this agreement, we will continue to make CCSD the Destination District for educators.”
Included in the agreement are:
- Step advancement in each year of the contract
- Approximately $1,600 per year for those who earn a step advancement
- Column advancement in each year of the contract
- Approximately $6,500 per year for those who earn a column advancement
- 6 percent increase in health insurance contributions per year
- $28 million increase in contributions over 2 years
The agreement also includes additional pay for employees in hard-to-fill, high-vacancy teaching positions. Additionally, the contract allocates $10 million per year for the Salary Review and Adjustment Process to address salary table compaction.
