LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 2.08 – Memorandum of Agreement between The New Teacher Project Inc. and the Clark County School District

The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved a Memorandum of Agreement with The New Teacher Project Inc. The agreement allows the District to utilize the Fellows Plus Program, which integrates two alternative teaching pathways: the Fellowship Pathway and the Apprenticeship Pathway. 

The program aims to recruit diverse candidates, provide rigorous training, target high-need subject areas and promote economic mobility. The program also emphasizes equity-based practices and social-emotional learning integration, aiming to improve access to highly effective teachers in CCSD.

Agenda Item 2.14 – Memorandum of Agreement between the Clark County School District and the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education on Behalf of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas

The Board approved a Memorandum of Agreement with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) through the Nevada System of Higher Education. This agreement aims to expand mental health services in schools. 

The District will work with UNLV to provide assistance for Expanding School-Based Mental Health Services (EXHALE) scholars to offer mental health services to students and families.
