CCSD Board of School Trustees meeting recap

LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 3.02 – Public Hearing On and Possible Approval of the New Negotiated Agreement of 2023–2025 between the Clark County School District and the Police Officers Association of the Clark County School District.

The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved a new tentative agreement with the Police Officers Association (POA) of the Clark County School District. The tentative agreement includes:

  • An average salary increase of approximately 16 percent

  • Health insurance contributions will increase by 5% effective July 1, 2024

  • The agreement is extended for two years until June 30, 2025.

Agenda Item 3.03 – Public Hearing On and Possible Approval of the New Memorandum of Agreement between the Clark County School District and the Police Officers Association of the Clark County School District Regarding the distribution of funds allocated through Senate Bill 231 (2023).

Trustees approved a tentative agreement with the POA regarding the allocation of funds provided through Senate Bill 231 (SB 231).

All police officers represented by the POA will receive a Cost of Living Adjustment of 4.12% effective July 1, 2024. This funding will be provided through SB 231 funds and there will be no impact on the District’s general fund.

Agenda Item 3.04 – Public Hearing On and Possible Approval of the New Negotiated Agreement of 2023-2025 between the Clark County School District and the Police Administrators Association of the Clark County School District.

The Board approved an agreement with the Police Administrators Association (PAA). The tentative agreement includes:

  • The starting salary of Lieutenants will be raised to an amount equal to 20 percent more than the maximum base salary of sergeants.

  • The starting salary of Captains will be raised to an amount equal to 12.5 percent more than the salary of Lieutenants.

  • The agreement is extended for two years until June 30, 2025.
