LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 3.03 – Presentation of the Annual Independent Auditor’s Report for Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2024
The CCSD Board of School Trustees and the Audit Advisory Committee held a joint meeting to discuss the audit of the District’s financial statements. The independent auditing firm, Eide Bailly, issued an unmodified opinion related to the financial statements of the District. The audit found one finding and corrective action is in place.
The independent auditor identified one non-compliance violation and processes have been updated to address it.

Agenda Item 2.02 – Focus: 2024 Strategic Plan Update on Chronic Absenteeism
The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees accepted a report on the District’s effort to address chronic absenteeism. The presentation is part of the Board’s monitoring of progress toward goals outlined in CCSD’s five-year strategic plan.
The report highlighted progress in collaborating with local businesses to support attendance efforts and reconnecting with families for the 2024-2025 school year. As part of those efforts, the Attendance Enforcement Department contacted more than 5,000 students during the summer.
During the first quarter of 2024-2025, the chronic absenteeism rate is at 20.5 percent, which is three percentage points lower than the same time last year.

Agenda Item 2.03 – Focus: 2024 Strategic Plan Update on Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement
The Board accepted a report on student participation in dual enrollment and advanced placement classes.
The report highlighted the more than 17,000 dual enrollment course enrollments for the 2024-2025 school year. The increased enrollment is a product of the focus on expanding dual enrollment opportunities for students across the District.
Additionally, the District noted an additional 4,400 advanced placement exams taken compared to the previous school year.
