LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 2.02 – 2025-2026 Final Budget  The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved the adoption of the final budget for the 2025-2026 school year. State law requires the District to submit a final budget to the Nevada Department of Taxation by June 9, 2025.  As the 2025 Nevada Legislative Session is scheduled to run through June 2, 2025, the District will have up to 30 days to submit possible amendments that incorporate necessary updates due to the budget approved by the Legislature and Governor. The Clark County School District Project-Based Learning (PBL) Showcase offered pilot school principals an opportunity to share their implementation of PBL on their campuses.  More than a dozen CCSD schools are currently piloting PBL as part of the pilot school project. On Thursday, multiple schools, including Judy and John L. Goolsby Elementary School, Clifford J. LAS VEGAS – The Clark County School District (CCSD) continues to earn national recognition as Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts, and a student from Advanced Technologies Academy (A-TECH) earned top honors from Magnet Schools of America (MSA).  Del Sol Academy was awarded the Secondary Magnet School of Merit Award of Excellence. A West Career and Technical Academy senior won a new car after winning a road safety essay contest. Andrea Vinluan was surprised with the 2024 Volkswagen Jetta Sport from Findlay Volkswagen Henderson on Friday as part of a campaign to inspire young drivers to take road safety seriously and understand the real-life consequences of a driver’s actions behind the wheel. Lundy Elementary School The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved the contract for Martin-Harris Construction, LLC. to repair and make improvements to Earl B. LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 3.01 – Compliance Monitoring Update The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees accepted the compliance monitoring update related to the corrective action plan requested by the Nevada Department of Education (NDE). CCSD provided the initial corrective action plan to NDE on December 27, 2024. On December 31, 2024, a request was received from the Superintendent of Public Instruction for additional specificity in the plan. LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 3.02 – Fiscal Year 2025 Amended Final Budget   The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved the Fiscal Year 2025 Amended Final Budget that will be submitted to the state of Nevada by the January 2025 deadline. The general operating budget includes total expenditures of approximately $3.97 billion, with more than 81 percent of funds utilized for employee salaries and benefits.
