Arturo B. Cambeiro was born on April 19, 1932, in Havana, Cuba, where he received a bachelor’s degree in science and architecture. When he was 29 years old, Mr. Cambeiro and his family immigrated to the United States. They did not have very much and did not know the language. The Cambeiro family lived in Miami and Los Angeles before landing in Las Vegas, where Mr. Cambeiro became Nevada’s first licensed Hispanic architect. September 15 marks the beginning of National Hispanic Heritage Month!  This is a time to highlight the contributions Hispanic members of our community have made to education.  Throughout the month, we will be highlighting CCSD Hispanic namesakes who have made significant contributions to our District.   Follow along on our Facebook, Instagram, and X accounts to see how schools are celebrating!

The Clark County School District Police Department welcomed five new police officers to the force.  The officers were celebrated at a graduation that culminated six months of field training in partnership with other law enforcement agencies. They will now be part of the CCSDPD force and will be stationed at our schools. We wish them the best in this new journey!   Learn more about CCSDPD here.

LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 3.01 – Revised Annual Board Report Schedule The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved a new schedule for reports about the District’s progress and efforts related to significant student outcomes and operational imperatives.  The revised Annual Board Report schedule provides for 10 reports in key areas throughout the 2025-2026 school year.
