LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 3.01 – Focus: 2024 Strategic Plan Update — Chronic Absenteeism The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees received a presentation with an update on the Focus:2024 Strategic Plan regarding chronic absenteeism. The presentation highlighted efforts to restructure the Attendance Department and deploy attendance officers to provide mentorship to students who display early indicators of chronic absenteeism. The Clark County School District (CCSD) Family Engagement Department will be hosting free engaging workshops to gain resources and tools to support summer learning for PK-12 families.  Participants can choose between attending parent/guardian- only sessions or sessions with families learning together. Child care will be provided for CCSD students for those who choose to attend the adult- only sessions.  The Family Academy will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Canyon Springs High School located at 350 E.
