LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 2.02 – 2024-2025 Final Budget The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved the adoption of the final budget for the 2024-2025 school year. State law requires the district to submit a final budget to the Nevada Department of Taxation by early June. CCSD estimates an approximate $3.5 billion in total operating revenues for the 2024-2025 school year. 84% of the general operating fund is allocated to employee salaries and benefits. Jessie Esparza arrived at Desert Rose High School and immediately went to work. He earned 20 credits throughout the 2023-24 school year. During his first semester here at Desert Rose, his GPA jumped to a 3.0 and he earned 8 credits during this time alone. His hard work and dedication in regards to his educational journey were quite apparent. Agenda Item 2.02 – Memorandum of Agreement Between the Clark County School District and UNLV Medicine The Board of Trustees agreed to continue a Memorandum of Agreement with UNLV Medicine. UNLV Medicine will provide school-based health services to students enrolled in the District and their immediate family members. This comes at no cost to students or the District. Sunrise Mountain High School is proud to present Litzy Garcia Bermudez as its 2024 Star Graduate. She currently holds a 4.4 GPA in her regular, honors, dual enrollment, and AP classes. She played varsity tennis the last two years, and is an active member of the Garden Club and Art Club. Litzy is family-oriented and loves assisting in the care of two younger siblings. Happy last day of school to all of our CCSD students!  Congratulations to our high school seniors who are now one step closer to achieving their career goals. Make sure to check out this year’s Star Graduates to catch a glimpse of our student’s accomplishments!  Online registration for the 2024-25 school year is now open. Families with currently enrolled students can complete registration using Campus Parent via Infinite Campus (campusportal.ccsd.net).  Classes will resume on Monday, August 12. 

The Clark County School District (CCSD) and the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) recognized more than 2,000 high school seniors who were dually enrolled in the UNR Collegiate Academy.  The University’s Collegiate Academy dual-credit program offers high school students the opportunity to earn college credits at a discounted cost by taking University courses in their high school classrooms which also satisfies high school graduation requirements. The credits students earn are reflected on their college transcripts and can be seamlessly used at all Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) institutions or transferred to many other colleges and universities nationwide.
