Approximately 1,100 educators took part in the CCSD New Teacher Kickoff event in preparation for the 2023-2024 school year that begins Monday, Aug. 7. During the event, teachers received information on CCSD’s New Teacher Pathway, which provides two years of induction, mentoring and professional growth opportunities for beginning and experienced teachers new to the District. 

CCEA’s refusal impacts students and staff LAS VEGAS – The Clark County School District (CCSD) is making adjustments to school start and end times at approximately 45 schools because CCEA, which serves as the bargaining unit for licensed educators, has refused to consider contract waivers (An avenue for schools to waive specific provisions of the negotiated agreement) for over six months without additional, unreasonable concessions by the District in the upcoming 2023–2025 Negotiated Agreement. Online registration for Clark County School District (CCSD) students for the 2023-24 school year is now open. Parents/guardians should note that the 2023-24 school year begins Aug. 7, 2023. Families new to CCSD may begin their registration process online via register.ccsd.net. Families with currently enrolled students can complete registration using Campus Parent via Infinite Campus (campusportal.ccsd.net). Cox Back to School Fairs  The Cox Back to School Fair is the longest-running annual school readiness event in southern Nevada. This event will be held multiple times throughout July and August at various locations. There will be more than 30 community agencies and organizations as well as CCSD representatives in attendance to answer questions ranging from registration, learning opportunities, and enrollment.  The Back to School fairs held at Boulevard Mall and Meadows Mall will also be hosting on-site immunizations. Families may now register students for kindergarten if they turn 5 years old by August 1 for the 2023-24 school year LAS VEGAS – The Clark County School District (CCSD) seeks to inform parents regarding recent updates to Nevada law regarding kindergarten enrollment age requirements. Clark County School District (CCSD) Unify Department and Touro University Nevada welcome the community to the “Help for All,” medical fair ahead of the 2023-2024 school year. Families will be able to receive several free on-site services and wellness resources, regardless of immigration status. These services include adult health, vision and dental screenings, children health screenings, general and COVID-19 vaccinations and mammogram testing.
