The American Education Week celebrations continue with National Parental Involvement Day! Today, our Deputy Superintendents, Dr. Jesse Welsh and Felicia Gonzalez, visited two CCSD Family Engagement Centers to learn more about how these centers help our parents increase involvement in their children’s education. They talked to parents and heard firsthand how these centers have helped them. Located across the District, the centers provide families with the tools and resources necessary to engage with their child’s education. Today, CCSD celebrates Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day! We honor the courageous Ruby Bridges and her walk to school on November 14, 1960, when she became one of the first Black children to integrate an all-white school in New Orleans. This day gives students the opportunity to celebrate and honor courage, inclusion, and safety in our communities.
Classes will be in session on Monday, November 10, 2025. There will be no school for students, and CCSD offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in honor of Veterans Day. Classes will resume and offices will reopen on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
LAS VEGAS – The Clark County School District (CCSD) has extended the Destination District Survey through Sunday, November 30, providing community members additional time to share their perspectives and help shape the District’s future. The survey is now open at weareccsd.net/survey. CCSD has already received more than 33,600 responses from students, families, educators, and community members who have shared their perspectives on how CCSD can best serve students and prepare them for a successful future. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at J. Harold Brinley Middle School on Nov. 5, 2025 to celebrate the opening of the school’s newly rebuilt campus. This redesigned school features flexible learning spaces, academic resource areas, and high-efficiency lighting systems to enhance the learning experience. J. Harold Brinley Middle School is one of the three rebuilt CCSD middle schools to reopen this year. The school opened at the start of the 2025-26 school year.

41 Clark County School District (CCSD) schools are being honored by the University of Nevada, Reno’s Nevada Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Technical Assistance Center for promoting positive behavior among students. The 41 schools recognized are up from 15 schools earning MTSS honors in 2024. MTSS is a strategic framework implemented by school teams to provide personalized support to every student in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional well-being, based on their individual needs.
