Every year, CCSD joins the Computer Science Education Week celebration to inspire students to learn computer science, advocate for equity in computer science education, and celebrate the contributions of students, teachers and partners to the field. This year’s theme is “CS Powers AI Innovation,” which highlights artificial intelligence and how it is rapidly reshaping the fundamentals of computer science.  During this week, schools will participate in the “Hour of Code,” where students will be introduced to computer science through engaging activities!

A recent collaboration between the Clark County School District (CCSD) and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) has enabled the placement of more than 70 teachers in special education classrooms throughout the District. The Nevada Collaborative on Autism and STAR Endorsement (NCASE) graduate certificate program is a partnership involving CCSD’s Student Services Division and the UNLV Department of Early Childhood, Multilingual, and Special Education. The Clark County School District (CCSD) will showcase its staff, students, and community partners to celebrate the holiday season through the 12 Days of Recognition campaign. Various in-person events will be held on school days from December 4 to December 19, 2025. The Clark County School District (CCSD) increased the graduation rate by five percentage points during the 2024-2025 school year. The four-year graduation rate for the Class of 2025 was 86.6%, up from 81.5% for the Class of 2024. “This is a tremendous achievement for CCSD and a credit to the work of our students, educators, and families. The American Education Week celebrations continue with National Parental Involvement Day!  Today, our Deputy Superintendents, Dr. Jesse Welsh and Felicia Gonzalez, visited two CCSD Family Engagement Centers to learn more about how these centers help our parents increase involvement in their children’s education. They talked to parents and heard firsthand how these centers have helped them.     Located across the District, the centers provide families with the tools and resources necessary to engage with their child’s education.
