The Board of School Trustees’ unanimous approval of a five-year strategic plan for the Clark County School District – Focus: 2024 – sets in motion ambitious goals.

Among those targets for student success:

  • All CCSD schools will be rated three stars or higher on the Nevada School Performance Framework.
  • At least 90 percent of CCSD students will graduate from high school college and career ready.

“Our core business is student success,” Superintendent Dr. Jesus F. Jara said. “We have jobs so that children can learn. We are intent on providing students with equity, accessibility and rigorous instruction, and we will hold ourselves accountable to meet our goals.”

“This is a living, breathing document that will evolve, and we will course-correct,” Trustee Deanna L. Wright said.
