Students at Advanced Technologies Academy earned the top prize in the Intuit Hour of Finance Challenge. The school was awarded a $100,000 prize for its efforts in the large school division.
The Hour of Finance Challenge is designed to introduce students to personal financial concepts in one hour or less by completing five activities including interactive Intuit for Education curriculum, online gameplay with Intuit Prosperity Quest, and more.
In earning the top prize, A-TECH students outscored the second-place team by more than 100 points. To recognize students for their hard work, A-TECH used the prize money to host a dinner for the students and their families. Each student who participated in the challenge also received a laptop computer to continue their academic achievements.
