LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 3.01 – Opening of 2025–2026 School Year
The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees accepted a report discussing the opening of the 2025-2026 school year for CCSD. It touched on several areas of importance, including staffing, student and family communication, safety protocols and more.
The presentation highlighted several achievements:
- 98% of classrooms were filled with a licensed educator.
- Seven new or rebuilt campuses were opened to students and staff.
- Crossing guards were added to middle schools and three pilot high schools by the City of Las Vegas.
- Nearly 530 family home visits were conducted by District staff and over 4,000 calls in August to re-engage with students.
- Over 180,000 meals were served to students on the first day of school.
