Gordon McCaw STEAM Academy has been named a Nationally Certified-Demonstration Magnet School by Magnet Schools of America (MSA).
The award is the highest distinction given to schools by MSA that serve as a model for excellence, innovation and diversity in education nationwide.
As a Nationally Certified-Demonstration Magnet School, McCaw STEAM Academy demonstrated through evidence, reflection, and strategic action that it has established the National Magnet School Standards of Excellence on campus and fulfilled a commitment to its community.
Three other Clark County School District (CCSD) schools received MSA Certification this year, including:
- Mike O’Callaghan Middle School i3 Learn Academy
- Sandy Searles Miller Academy for International Studies
- Sheila Tarr Academy of International Studies
In total, CCSD has three MSA Certified-Demonstration Schools and 11 Certified Schools.
