Award recognizes District for highest level of financial reporting

LAS VEGAS –  The Clark County School District (CCSD) was awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) for providing outstanding financial reporting while adhering to all international standards.

“CCSD’s Business and Finance Unit works tirelessly to ensure the District follows state law and accounting principles to ensure accuracy and transparency,” said CCSD Superintendent Jhone Ebert. “We are honored to accept ASBO’s recognition of our financial reporting and the dedication of our finance team.”

ASBO presented the award after the organization reviewed CCSD’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and determined the report met its high financial reporting and transparency standards for the 2024 fiscal year.

The District submitted the ACFR for review by a team of experienced financial professionals who provide feedback and recommendations. The District’s participation in the COE program helps CCSD maintain a strong bond rating, which reduces costs associated with school construction and maintenance projects.
