Trust, communication and partnership provide foundation for long-term goals

 

LAS VEGAS – Clark County School District (CCSD) Superintendent Jhone Ebert provided a progress update on goals for her first 100 days and how it has informed her long-term vision for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond.

In a presentation to the CCSD Board of School Trustees, Superintendent Ebert detailed early wins since assuming the role on April 14, 2025, and actions needed to ensure progress in the nation’s fifth-largest school district.

“I am proud of the early wins the team have accomplished as the blueprint was implemented over the past two months,” CCSD Superintendent Jhone Ebert said. “These short-term efforts provide a focus for the 2025-2026 school year and establish the foundation for the strategic plan that will be built with our community.” 

During the first 100 days, Superintendent Ebert has set clear expectations that are intended to lay the foundation for the CCSD team and the Clark County community. Those expectations are divided into four key areas with many action steps scheduled to be completed before the end of the first month of the school year.

  • Re-Energizing the Passion by cultivating an environment of connection, empowerment, pride and trust, where innovation and collaboration are valued and fostered.
  • Strengthening Communication by consistently providing proactive communication and exceptional customer service to families and staff.
  • Engage in Partnerships by establishing transformative partnerships that spark bold innovation and advance District priorities.
  • Rebuilding Trust by establishing clear expectations and fostering a safe, non-judgmental space for open dialogue.

Additionally, the 12-page document details the need to maintain a strong academic focus on Pre-kindergarten, early literacy, middle school mathematics, as well as workforce and college readiness, as Superintendent Ebert works with stakeholders and the community to launch a long-term strategic plan. The blueprint identifies a number of areas where Superintendent Ebert recognizes the successful efforts already in place and has committed to staying the course through the 2025-2026 school year and beyond. Those include the District’s commitment to high-quality Tier I instruction, continued implementation of the science of reading, as well as progress monitoring to provide quick interventions that enable student achievement.
