LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 3.03 – Critical Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Replacement System
The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees received a presentation on the District’s plan to replace heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) components to address aging infrastructure at schools with the most need.
The $5.18 million initiative focuses on the top 10 percent of schools with the highest HVAC needs. Through proactive efforts, the District’s goal is to reduce disruption by concentrating resources where they will yield the most benefit. At the 37 identified schools, licensed contractors will replace equipment prone to failure to establish more reliable performance. The identified schools were selected based on the age and condition of the HVAC system, work order history, frequency of past failures, and other factors.
The installation work has been scheduled throughout summer 2025 to minimize the impact on instructional time. Through the investment, CCSD aims to ensure students and staff remain in the classroom and improve utility efficiency.
