LAS VEGAS— The Clark County School District (CCSD) Music Education Program earns the Best Communities for Music Education designation from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) for the 26th consecutive year. CCSD is one of only six school districts in the country with 26 consecutive years of recognition.
“Music plays a critical role for our students by providing courses and extracurricular activities that improve attendance and performance in the classroom as well as increase collaboration and social interaction,” said CCSD Superintendent Jhone Ebert. “Earning this distinction again demonstrates the District’s dedication to supporting our students and amazing educators’ passion for the arts.”
The Best Communities for Music Education designation recognizes school districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in providing music access and education to all students.
Districts recognized by the NAMM are often models for other educators looking to boost their music education programs. To qualify for the Best Communities designation, CCSD answered detailed questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program, and community music-making programs. Responses were verified with school officials and reviewed by the Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.
With over 13,000 school districts nationwide, CCSD is one of only 935 school districts to receive this prestigious award in 2025.
