Alissa Bialas is recognized as West Career and Technical Academy’s Star Graduate for her outstanding academic achievements in the face of adversity. Alissa excelled in a challenging schedule during her senior year. She tragically lost her sister in the first semester, but persevered and maintained her perfect 4.0 grade point average (GPA) as a valedictorian candidate. In addition to her achievements in the classroom, Alissa gives back to the school and community through her involvement in service organizations. Alissa is in Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica and has volunteered countless hours of her time through community service projects in the National Honor Society. Her proudest achievement was earning her Gold Award in Girl Scouts through years of dedication and service. Alissa will attend University of San Diego in the fall, majoring in English. She hopes to turn her passion into a career and inspire future generations as an English teacher. Alissa epitomizes what it means to be a Wrangler through her hard work, perseverance, leadership, and kindness.
