Every May, Better Hearing and Speech Month is celebrated to bring awareness and understanding of communication disorders and the importance of early intervention and treatment.
The CCSD Audiology Services Department performs individual diagnostic hearing evaluations on students using a variety of tests. These tests measure everything from otoscopy, pure tones, speech perception, validation of hearing devices, and much more. This all aims to interpret the impact of hearing loss on education, learning, and classroom performance.
