Gaudin’s new Gaudin Technical Institute (GTI) program is bridging the gap between education and career by connecting students directly to job opportunities within the company. Recently, Spring Valley High School students visited Gaudin Ford to explore on-site career paths, including roles in sales, mechanics, and dealership operations.
The dealership engaged students in tours, discussing their interests and suggesting career options in the automotive industry. Students got a firsthand look at various hands-on roles and daily operations, sparking interest in different pathways.
Stacy Mullady, the GTI Program Manager, emphasized the program’s numerous advantages: it covers tuition fees, offers networking opportunities, and supports students with interests beyond the automotive field. She explained how GTI equips students with practical experience and helps them build valuable industry connections.
During the tours, clarifying questions were asked to ensure students understood the range of opportunities presented to them. The event offered invaluable insights into potential career paths and the resources available to help students achieve their goals.
This new GTI initiative at Gaudin represents a powerful example of how local businesses can support student success by connecting them directly with the job market.
During Career Exploration Week, students from East Career and Technical Academy shadowed and assisted the CCSD Marketing Department in promoting these opportunities. ECTA student Dulce Villagran contributed to this blog post.
