The Clark County School District (CCSD) proudly announces that the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) named Mojave High School Principal Gregory Cole 2024 Nevada State Principal of the Year.
“Principal Cole is a tremendous school leader and an inspiration to the students at Mojave High School,” said Interim Superintendent Brenda Larsen-Mitchell. “His leadership among his peers and the positive and inclusive learning environment he fosters makes him deserving of the State Principal of the Year award.”
Cole began his education career at CCSD in 2002 after six years teaching in Iowa. He has served as Principal at Mojave High School since 2017, where he strives to build strong social-emotional learning programs that focus on respect for students and staff. Cole was recognized for providing high-quality learning opportunities for students and making exemplary contributions in his role as principal.
NASSP honors one middle school or high school principal from each state annually.
Cole is now a finalist for the NAASP’s National Principal of the Year which will be announced at the State Principals of the Year event in Washington, D.C. in October.
