Imagine having your artwork displayed on the largest LED screen on Earth, right on the Las Vegas Strip! That’s the reality for six talented students who triumphed in the Summer Sphere XO Student Design Challenge, selected from over 100,000 participants. Their designs illuminated the massive Exosphere, the world’s largest LED display, marking an incredible milestone for these young artists.

One of the winners, Simone Enriquez, caught the spotlight with her design featuring the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign. With her family’s support, Simone monitored votes daily, and her efforts paid off. “We had to keep erasing and drawing to get it perfect,” she said, illustrating the challenges of transforming her 2D sketch into a 3D masterpiece. Her creation, along with others, was animated and projected onto the sphere during a special unveiling that captured national headlines.

Simone appreciates her teacher, Ms. Henson, for encouraging her to join the Student Design Challenge. “I’ve always been competitive, especially in art,” she shared. The reward? A $10,000 donation for her school’s art program, while high school winners were awarded a $10,000 scholarship.

This Student Design Challenge was more than an art contest—it was a testament to perseverance, creativity, and dreaming big.
