Booker ES surprises new students with school swag

The first day of school is an exciting time for Clark County School District (CCSD) students and staff. It is an exhilarating time for kindergarteners joining the District. 

Administrators at Kermit R. Booker, Sr. Elementary School found a fun way to build on that excitement for their young students. Principal Cullen Skyles and Assistant Principal Frances Castillo made surprise home visits to welcome around 40 new kindergarteners to the Booker Elementary School family as well as drop off some Bobcats swag.

The students couldn’t hide their excitement with huge smiles as they prepare to join the “Kinder Crew.” 

The District shares this same excitement and looks forward to welcoming students back onto campuses for another fantastic school year. The first day of the 2024-25 school year is Monday, August 12, 2024. For more back-to-school information, click here.
