It only takes one word to sum up Aliya Ojuade: incredible. Aliya’s academic ambition, future plans, and warm personality make her an ideal Star Graduate. What stands out the most is not Aliya’s intelligence, but her compassion, curiosity and love for learning. She has taken the most rigorous courses at Rancho High School and has excelled in each one. Aliya consistently perseveres to reach each goal she sets. She is currently set to complete the Pre-Medical program at Rancho High School in May.

What you don’t see (and many don’t know) is that in 2021, the summer before her freshman year, Aliya had back surgery. She went into her sophomore year (coming out of the COVID pandemic) still recovering from her procedure. Aliya was determined to work her way back to full health and never let her academics slip. She has a warrior spirit to overcome obstacles and excel.

In addition to her academic success, Aliya is also involved in various clubs at Rancho and in the community. Aliya is Rancho’s Magnet Ambassador, President of the Speech and Debate Club, Secretary of HOSA, Secretary of NHS, Committee Chair for the Key Club and she’s enrolled in UNLV’s IT Pipeline Program. Aliya has received numerous awards and accolades for her exceptional dedication.
