Star Grad – Arbor View High School

Educators encounter only a handful of students in their careers who make truly lasting impressions. Devin Melara is just this kind of student. Devin is a dynamic, self-assured young man who, despite obstacles, has shown the motivation to succeed in life and excel in education.

Devin excels academically. He is in the top 3% of his graduating class. Academically, Devin has taken a rigorous course of study at Arbor View High School. He will graduate with the Advanced Honors Diploma and qualifies for the College and Career Ready Diploma. He will graduate with High Honors distinction, as well as Arbor View’s Aggie Medallion and AP Scholar recognition. The faculty highly regard Devin for his academic excellence and congenial disposition. Devin is involved in extracurricular activities and founded the Bible Club on campus to support students’ social and emotional wellness.

Devin has been accepted to the Honors College at the University of Nevada, Reno, and plans to pursue a degree in business. Devin’s exceptional qualities and achievements made him a truly deserving winner of the prestigious Charles and Phyllis Frias Legacy Scholarship of $100,000.
