During March, the Clark County School District (CCSD) celebrates music education and the extraordinary talent of its students and staff for Music in Our Schools Month.
CCSD has been recognized as one of the “Best Communities for Music Education” by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) for 24 consecutive years. This designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. CCSD music teachers are regularly selected as presenters, adjudicators and trainers at the regional, national and international levels.
Over 66,000 secondary CCSD students participate in music. Approximately 13,000 secondary CCSD music students will participate in adjudicated festivals during the spring of 2024.
