Since the start of negotiations, the Clark County School District (CCSD) has committed to increasing pay for educators utilizing the increased state funding approved by Governor Joe Lombado and the Nevada Legislature.
As outlined in the attached document, CCSD’s proposal includes $634 million in increased funding for licensed employee compensation and benefits, not including SB 231 funding, until it is negotiated. CCSD’s proposal is part of a balanced budget that ensures the District can cover all expenses through the biennium and in perpetuity.
In comparison, the proposal from CCEA calls for the District to exceed funding allocations by $70 million over the biennium, placing the District’s current and future financial stability at risk.
