Agenda Item 2.08 – Focus: 2024 Strategic Plan Update pertaining to Teacher, Recruitment, and Critical Labor Shortage
The Clark County School District (CCSD) made gains in hiring 20% more teachers than the previous year. The District developed and fostered relationships with Historically Black College and Universities as well as Hispanic Serving Institutions to recruit teachers. Additionally, staff optimized candidate relation management software for more efficient recruiting experience and reinstated in-person teacher recruiting trips to increase the District’s teacher pools.

Agenda Item 2.09 – Employment Agreement – Assistant Human Resources Officer, Administrative Services and Talent Acquisition Teams (TAT)
The Board approved an employment agreement to hire Warren Shillingburg for Assistant Human Resources Officer, Administrative Services and Talent Acquisition Teams (TAT).
The position will focus on talent acquisition working to recruit teachers, support professionals and educators for CCSD.
