Two top award winners surprised with car giveaway
LAS VEGAS – The Clark County School District (CCSD) honored over 800 teachers, support professionals, central office, school administrators and licensed specialists at the inaugural Evening of Excellence Starlight Awards. This event honored stellar employees who go above and beyond as well as dedicate their time and energy to drive student success. CCSD educators are the stars in our community as they light the way for improving student lives every day. The Evening of Excellence Starlight Awards recognized our employees’ dedication to our students.
WINNERS
- Teacher of the Year: Demeasa Heard, Marvin M. Sedway Middle School
- Support Professional of the Year: Belinda Strong, Ann T. Lynch Elementary School
- Licensed Specialist of the Year: Tod Young, Variety School
- Principal of the Year: Melissa Roehm, Whitney Elementary School
- Central Office Administrator of the Year: Amber Rideout, Transportation Director
Demeasa Heard and Belinda Strong were the top award winners who were each surprised with a brand new vehicle generously donated by United Nissan.
Over forty members of the business community came together to support the District’s hard-working employees through sponsorships at the Evening of Excellence.
