More than 250 Clark County School District (CCSD) students will perform at the Seventh Annual “Holiday Extravaganza” concert at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 4th in The Smith Center’s Reynolds Hall. The concert series is a partnership among CCSD, The Public Education Foundation and The Smith Center.
“Holiday Extravaganza” showcases the considerable talent found in CCSD while expressing the joy of the season. Student musicians from more than 30 schools will perform alongside teachers and professionals from across Southern Nevada in a world-class venue.
In addition, visual artists from elementary, middle and high schools will have their work on display in The Smith Center’s Grand Lobby prior to the concert, as doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Proceeds from the performance help support arts programs in the CCSD. Since this concert series began in 2012, approximately 70 schools have raised more than $150,000 for their arts programs through this partnership with The Public Education Foundation.
A limited number of tickets are still available, starting at $15. Tickets may be purchased at The Smith Center Box Office or online at (https://www.thesmithcenter.com/event/ccsd-holiday-extravaganza).
The holiday concert is made possible through funding from Dennis and Carol Troesh; additional financial support is provided by Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
The media’s point of contact on-site will be Katie Bowen of The Public Education Foundation. She may be reached at katie.bowen@thepef.org or (702) 799-1042 the day of the event.
