Clark County School District Superintendent Dr. Jesus F. Jara presented 9 staff members and 1 student with challenge coins in recognition for saving a student’s life. On September 26th, a Sunrise Mountain High School student collapsed while running the stairs during PE. Another student noticed his classmate in distress and called for help. Several staff members then jumped into action providing CPR and utilizing the school’s AED to save the student’s life. Superintendent Jara recognized the heroes to kick off American Education Week.
