National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a nationwide celebration from Nov. 11-17, 2019 to showcase the opportunities that apprenticeships offer students to develop workplace experience and skills that employers value.

CCSD collaborates with community partners to connect graduate students to apprenticeships. Apprenticeship.ccsd.net provides information for students to explore many of the apprenticeship programs offered in the skilled trades, medical field and cybersecurity/information technology field plus more.

Apprenticeships allow high school graduates the opportunity to immediately start working and start earning money. Students can also potentially earn college-level credits for free.

CCSD’s works with skilled trade unions, Workforce Connections and other community partners on the apprenticeship website will help students learn more about trades. Students are encouraged to visit the apprenticeship website and talk to their counselor for more information. Visit Apprenticeship.ccsd.net for more information.

Vegas PBS, American Graduate Program also collaborates with CCSD to connect students in the apprenticeship field. Watch Vegas PBS video for National Apprenticeship Week here
