Academic growth in English language arts and mathematics helped
propel more than two-thirds of Clark County School District (CCSD) schools to
improvements on the Nevada School Performance Framework (NSPF), which is
Nevada’s public-school rating system that classifies schools within a five-star
performance rating system.
“Student success is our core focus as we become the Destination District,” said CCSD
Superintendent Jhone Ebert. “Although there is more work to be done, these results
demonstrate that investments made in public education are working. Great things
happen in our schools when we are able to utilize high-quality instructional materials
and ensure there are highly effective teachers in our classrooms.”
The release of the index scores builds on the September 15, 2025, release of school
star ratings that showed 136 CCSD schools made improvements in their star ratings.
The newly released data from the Nevada Department of Education show CCSD
improved in both English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics proficiency, across all
levels, in elementary, middle, and high school. The largest gains were shown in middle
school ELA proficiency, which improved by 4.9 percentage points districtwide.
Additionally, the District reduced chronic absenteeism rates by more than four percent,
from 31.3 percent in 2023-2024 to 26.9 percent in 2024-2025.
Overall, 272 CCSD schools increased their index scores from 2024 to 2025 on the
NSPF, often referred to as the Nevada Report Card.
