The state Office of Science, Innovation and Technology (OSIT) has awarded more than $26,000 to support STEM-learning experiences at Roberta C. Cartwright, Laura Dearing, Lorna J. Kesterson, Quannah McCall, and Jim Thorpe elementary schools.
- The K-5 STEM projects at the five elementary schools include robotics and drone technologies.
Why it matters: OSIT says the funding will bolster student engagement in integrated problem-solving experiences while developing computational and technical skills, critical and creative thinking, and collaboration and effective communication.
