Two more Clark County School District (CCSD) Magnet Schools have been named National Certified Magnet Schools: Rancho High School and Roy W. Martin Middle School.
Magnet Schools of America recognized both schools this week for their efforts surrounding high-quality, innovative curriculum and instructional programs that promote choice, equity, diversity and academic excellence for all students.
“This prestigious recognition yet again shows that CCSD’s Magnet Schools are a national model for schools providing rich and rigorous education,” said CCSD Superintendent Dr. Jesus F. Jara. “CCSD is focused on ensuring our students are college and career ready, and this honor helps to highlight our commitment to that goal. I would like to congratulate our teachers, support professionals, students and administrators for their hard work recognized by this distinction.”
Rancho High School and Martin Middle School join 10 other CCSD schools that have earned the prestigious designation based around the five pillars of Magnet Schools and the National Magnet School Standards of Excellence.
“This is a tremendous honor as the schools engaged in a difficult, year-long evaluation process,” said Magnet Schools and Career and Technical Academies Director Gia Moore. “The principals and teachers at these schools are phenomenal.”
